Many people are familiar with the Plymouth Barred Rocks, a very popular dual purpose chicken for decades and also another chicken type we have at Chicken Little Farm. A black and white chicken whose feathers have black and white bars on their feathers, and a very flashy pattern for hats and hair pieces. The feathers can be 5-8 inches long as well as 2-4 inches long with down. The bag will contain 20 feathers of mixed sizes unless an email requests a certain size. All feathers have been washed.

Everyone has heard of the Rhode Island Red chicken! It is yet another variety of chicken that we have on Chicken Little Farm. The feathers are a deep red barn color, with some feathers sporting a little black trim. The feathers are as long as 5-8 inches and as small as 2-4 inches with a down component. The bag will contain 20 feathers of mixed sizes unless a certain size is requested. Can be used for any type of craft project, jewelry, hats, and more, even cat toys! All feathers have been washed.

At first glance these feathers look like saddle feathers but upon closer inspection a diamond pattern at the base of the feather is revealed! They also flop over and curve like the sickle feathers of the tail but this is a much more delicate feather. The feather itself is wide at the base but tapers up to the end of the feather and also has the shadow. A beautiful feather for hats, hair pieces, boutonnieres, or any other artistic form. The picture does not do this feather justice. Six feathers per bag. All feathers are washed.

Very similar to our white Leghorn saddle feathers but a little shorter. Wispy, 4 to 4 1/2 inches, these feathers also have the shadow feature along the upper edges of the feather. Use for anything. Six feathers per bag. All feathers are washed.

These are white saddle feathers which fall across the back of our white Leghorn rooster. They are lighter weight than the sickle feathers and are about 4 to 5 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. They have a ghostly shadow along the upper edges of the feather. Good to use for almost anything crafty as well as hats and floral picks. Six feathers per bag. All feathers have been washed.

We have a few roosters and the white Leghorn is one of them! Obviously this chicken is all white but has some striking tail feathers. One of the biggest feathers is the sickle feathers that naturally curve as they grow. The feathers are 6-8 inches at the curve and about 1/2 to 1 inch wide. Great for that favorite hat or use in a floral pick or other crafts. Hard to come by, there are only a few available. Two feathers per bag. Feathers have been washed.

This is roving made from lambswool from our Gulf Coast Native/Polypay or Gulf Coast Native/Romney cross lambs. As lamb's wool, it is softer and finer than our ewe's wool but I cannot give an exact micron count - it is probably somewhere in the middle. I would wear yarn from this roving in a scarf or hat but maybe not too close to the skin. This wool takes a dye well. The folks at Frankenmoth Woolen Mill in Michigan did a fantastic job of mixing the fleeces, cleaning them, and turning them into roving. There is still a small amount of hay in the roving (this was my first batch that I sent to the mill and I have since learned to be more selective). Adorable 100% alpaca stuffed animals. The outside is knitted and felted, then snugly stuffed with loose alpaca wool as well. Specify alpaca, lamb, or chicken. If I have one on hand I can deliver immediately, if not I can have one made in 1-3 weeks. I have a variety of colors available, from white and gray to fawn, brown and black.
