I live with my husband and and five children, on a 10 acre homestead.
We have small flock of Navajo Churro sheep, two flocks of chickens, a small garden and an orchard.
I believe strongly in sustainable organic practices.
The chickens are grazed in the orchard and garden and moved often; so they get plenty of green grass and bugs. The sheep are grass fed and rotationally grazed.
We do not buy organic grain for the chickens, I guess the eggs are not technically organic, but the hens are free roaming and happy.
The garden is fully organic: fertilized with a mix of sheep manure compost we make ourselves, kitchen compost and mushroom compost we buy in.
