This is the plant I had formerly mis-identified as Astrantia, or Masterwort. I finally found someone on a plant ID site who was able to give me the correct ID. Sorry for the confusion! This is actually one of the stranger early spring perennials... Mukdenia rossii. I'm sorry that it doesn't have a common name, since that Latin name is a mouthful. Mukdenia rossii is native to rocky slopes and ravines in China, Manchuria and Korea. It is a compact herbaceous perennial similar to coral bells in habit and height. Palmate medium green leaves are tinged with bronze and attractive throughout the growing season. White, bell-shaped flowers rise above the foliage clump to 16” tall in March and April. Best grown in moist, fertile, well-drained soils in part shade, it appreciates afternoon shade or sun dappled shade in the south. Plants spread over time by short creeping rhizomes, and may self-seed in optimum growing conditions.

Mullein and Garlic Tincture contains, mullein, garlic, cane alcohol and distilled water. Make of mullein and garlic grown at Cline Farm. Mullein is a supreme, safe, and profound respiratory tonic. It helps open the lungs, eases spasms, tightness, and cough, and soothes irritation and dryness. Mixed with garlic it a superfood for all things respiratory. A few drops of tincture can also be used topically for treatment of fungal and bacterial infections. Not recommended for children and during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Satyam Setty for the birth of his son, Nag Champa quickly gained notoriety as one of the most popular incense scents available today. Nag Champa even became the signature scent used at shows performed by Bob Dylan and is renowned for its complex yet simple and earthy fragrance. Nag Champa is created with the scents of champaca, sandalwood, and halmaddi. Grown and dried in Sewanee, TN. Native to the southern United States, Passiflora incarnata is now widely cultivated throughout the US and Europe. Passionflower is utilized for its gentle calming properties. This vining plant has showy, intricate flowers, which caught the eye of Spanish missionaries who correlated the inflorescence with the Passion of the Christ, and thus dubbed the name passion flower. Our organic passionflower can be tinctured, steeped as passionflower tea, and incorporated into herbal infusions. Passionflower is cooling to the body, calming to the mind, and soothing to the spirit. It quells disquietude, calms the ruminating mind, and can promote natural relaxation and helps in coping with stress.* This plant is gentle yet profound. It can be administered as a soothing tea for children or the elderly and can help to calm a restless mind. Other common names include apricot vine, maypop, and wild passionflower. P. incarnata, in the Passifloriaceae family is a perennial climbing vine with generally 3 lobed, palmate leaves sporting, according to the late herbalist Michael Moore, "complicated but comely flowers." Indeed, the flowers are quite striking, flamboyantly displaying five stamens and three stigmas which "protrude from the flower's center like the antennae of a spaceship" writes Steven Foster. Further, there are five petals and sepals, and a collar of threadlike, frilly, lavender colored, coronal filaments. One begins to see where the "passion" came from…however, actually, the name has more virtuous origins. The story goes that in 1569, in Peru, a Spanish doctor, Nicolas Monardes 'discovered' this plant. It eventually made it into the hands of Spanish missionaries who saw the flower as a physical representation of the crucifixion of Christ. The three stigmas represented the 'nails of crucifixion', the coronal filaments were the 'crown of thorns', the five stamens were the wounds, and the ten sepals were representative of ten of the disciples (Judas and Peter got left out due to their overall poor behavior). Thus, this flower was used as a teaching tool, to tell the story of Christ to the indigenous people. P. incarnata is native to the Southeast of the United States ranging south from Virginia to Florida and as far west as Texas, Mexico and Central and South America. This vine grows in relatively poor sandy soil and prefers full sun and a trellis or fence to wrap itself around. It often grows in disturbed areas and, in spite of its majestic appearance and usefulness, considered a weed. There are a multitude of species, over 500 in fact, many of which are native to the Americas. One such species P. edulis, is the tasty tropical "passion fruit" which is eaten as a fruit and made into juice in Mexico and south to its native stomping grounds in Brazil and neighboring countries. It is used as a common flavoring in the United States. Several other species such as P. foetida, P. Mexicana, and P. tenuiloba in the southwest of the United States and P. lutea in the southern U.S. have been used similarly to P. incarnata. Passiflora sp. has a rich history of traditional use dating back to pre-historic times. Seeds that were thousands of years old were found around Virginia, where the Algonkian Indians thrived. Early European settlers have records of the Algonkian Indians eating the passionflower fruit. The Cherokee used P. incarnata root extensively for a variety of purposes. Additionally, various parts of the plants, including the fruits, were made into a beverage, and the leaves and young tendrils were boiled or fried and eaten. Various indigenous groups were known to use the plant as a topical poultice. P. incarnata has had documented uses in Europe going back to 1787. Our pork is raised in the woods, and rotated to many different paddocks in their lifetime. Rotating the pigs enables them to eat a diverse diet of nuts, berries, bugs, leaves, grass, roots, and whatever else they can find in the woods. They are also fed NON GMO grains and processed in a USDA inspected facility. Being outside in their natural habitat also creates a much happier pig, and we take pride in keeping our animals as happy and healthy as we can. You will receive one Pack of 2 bone in pork chops. These go great on the grill or seared on a cast iron skillet.

Our pork is raised in the woods, and rotated to many different paddocks in their lifetime. Rotating the pigs enables them to eat a diverse diet of nuts, berries, bugs, leaves, grass, roots, and whatever else they can find in the woods. They are also fed NON GMO grains and processed in a USDA inspected facility. Being outside in their natural habitat also creates a much happier pig, and we take pride in keeping our animals as happy and healthy as we can. You will receive one sliced shoulder roast that is 2.75-3.25 lbs. These are great to braise in the oven or for making carnitas in the slow cooker.

This scrub is ideal for kitchen and bathroom sinks, counters, tubs, etc. It is simply Solace Farm soap, pumice powder, bentonite clay, washing soda, and essential oil or fragrance oil. I love this stuff! I had been using Mrs. Meyers surface scrub, and discovered this recipe - and it's at least as good! It takes stains and dark scratches right out of my cast-iron kitchen sink, and scrubs the hard water/iron stains out of my tub. Virtually nothing else short of nasty chemicals has done that! And it smells great the whole time it's cleaning :) This is packaged in fully compostable sturdy paperboard tubes with a shaker top. Choose a scent from the list, and add a "Note to Grower" at checkout. If you don't select a scent, I will choose one for you based on availability. These are a wonderful baking pumpkin. I am trying them for the first time this year and they are really nice looking. These are the pumpkins grown by Libby’s and other commercial pumpkin producers for making canned pumpkin. They are big (20-30 lbs) so be ready to put some up …or make a lot of pumpkin pies or bread! The pumpkin itself is supposed to store well. They are big enough to use as a Halloween pumpkin but they don’t sit upright well. Grown using organic methods.

Many of our customers add this to their creams and lotions instead of water. Our pure rose water is also commonly used as an aromatic face or body spritz. They also make an excellent linen spray and a simple way for the aromatherapist to enjoy the benefits of essential oils without spending a lot of money. It can even be added to a hot bath.
