BROWN EGGS

Good sized eggs with a light brown shell. Our chickens scratch and wander and are rotated through four wooded or open paddocks planted with brassicas, grasses, and legumes. They forage and eat table scraps as well as scratch feed, and supplemental layer pellets (the scratch and layer pellets are, unfortunately, not organic or local).

BROWN Our eggs are from chickens that are raised in a completely free-range setting. Because the hens have constant access to green pasture, these eggs are high in omega-3 fatty acids and the taste and texture are very different from that of eggs you would purchase at a store. By buying our eggs you are not only getting high quality, healthy food, but you are also helping support chickens raised humanely. These chickens are truly allowed to live like chickens. They are not packed in cages and forced to live life for nothing more than laying eggs. You will receive brown eggs and they will come in various sizes, although very small eggs are removed... WE eat them :-)

These eggs, a variety of brown shades with at least 2 green eggs, are from our colorful mixed layer flock of approximately 60 hens. We have a couple of Buff Orpingtons, a rare Buckeye, Gold-Laced Wyandottes, the "chocolate eggers" Cuckoo Marans and Welsummers, and many more, including Americaunas that lay our green eggs. Our flock always has high protein layer feed available, and are also fed a sprouted grain mix, that they love. This keeps the yolks bright and full of vitamins, as do all the bugs and greens they eat, as they roam their huge pasture.

Large white eggs from our mixed flock of 3 Khaki Campbells and 7 Golden Cascades. These ducks are free-range, roaming the yard and wherever they feel like, really! Duck eggs are absolutely the best for baking, giving extra loft and lightness to cakes, meringues, etc.

Our chickens are well taken care of, we feed them corn and vegatables. They roam free on 1/2 acre of grass land. They always have access to clean water. And put into their coop at night.

Our chickens have a 1/2 acre of grass land to roam as they please on. Fresh water is always available, and we feed them cracked corn and vegatables. Our chickens are put up every night into a safe chicken coop, and released early each morning to scratch around as they please.

We have our 22 happy chickens just clucking and laying away. We feed them table scraps (fruits & veggies, no meat), Clover clippings, Co-op Layer feed, co-op cracked corn scratch and all the bugs they can get to and they love burnt popcorn for some strange reason. Eggs are brown eggs and our chickens are free range, cage free, and the eggs assorted sizes and sometimes have double yolks.
