Small Farms Making a Difference

Cudzoo Farm

Cudzoo Farm is an intentionally small homestead located in Sewanee. We care for ourselves, our animals, our plants and the land using organic, ecological and permaculture methods combined with common sense and a dash of modern medicine if (rarely) needed.
The heart of our homestead is the goat barn: home to Buckeye, Nutmeg, Teasel, Arum and Henbit. The “girls” are hand-milked twice daily and spoiled rotten 24/7. The latter of which does indeed lead to refined palettes and capacious rumens. However, our barn princesses also produce a year round supply of the richest and sweetest milk we have ever tasted.
It is this barn-fresh milk, combined with organic coconut & almond oils that we use to make our artisan goat milk soaps. We hand make our soaps one dozen at a time and mold them into pretty animal motifs. They contain no colorings or preservatives and are left either unscented or lightly perfumed with pure essential oils.
With such simple ingredients, our soaps are gentle, cleansing and moisturizing. Suitable for washing the hands, bodies, faces and hair of robust babies through delicate grandpas and everyone in between.
